Product description

Protect yourself and your team from scattered radiation. The radiation protection drape guarantees excellent radiation shielding during surgical procedures. The radiation protection drape is positioned on the left subclavian vein during biventricular pacing and other implantation procedures, thus providing radiation shielding.

The radiation protection drape features a half-moon window designed to protect the physician's hand, body, and head (eye lens dose). It is large enough to allow easy access, yet small enough to shield against dangerous scattered radiation.

Reduction of scattered radiation

- Reduction of radiation dose by up to 95%
- More safety from scattered radiation for you and your team
- Over 50 clinical studies prove the effectiveness of sterile radiation protection drapes
- The American professional societies recommend the use of sterile radiation protection drapes

Departments & Procedures

Interventional Cardiology:
Pacemaker implantations

Application

When correctly positioned, the crescent cutout is at the entry point. The long end of the radiation protection drape is aligned toward the patient's feet (see video on the left). When ideally positioned, the radiation protection drape rests lightly on the tabletop. The physician should always work "in the shadow" of the radiation protection drape by positioning the radiation protection drape between the surgeon and the beam path. Therefore, it is important that the radiation protection drape is positioned outside the beam path.

The video on the left shows the optimal positioning of the radiation protection drape.
