MD Solutions GmbH - Strahlenschutz

Item number: 5300A

Product description

This radiation protection drape is suitable for all femoral, radiation-intensive procedures. It guarantees excellent shielding against the resulting scattered radiation.

The radiation protection drape reduces the dose to the surgeon's hands, body, and head (lens dose) by more than 80%. This has been shown by studies (Hartwell et al., 2005). If you are interested in these studies, we would be happy to send them to you.

The special surface of the radiation protection drape is able to absorb liquids, ensuring clean work at all times.

Reduction of scattered radiation

- Reduction of radiation dose to hands, eyes and head
- More safety from scattered radiation for you and your team
- Over 50 clinical studies prove the effectiveness of sterile radiation protection drapes
- The American professional societies recommend the use of sterile radiation protection drapes

Application

This sterile radiation protection drape is suitable for radiation-intensive procedures performed via a femoral access (femoral artery). It guarantees excellent shielding against the resulting radiation. The radiation protection drape is also extremely effective for radial access procedures.

When correctly positioned, the longer side of the shield points toward the patient's head. Furthermore, the radiation protection drape should rest flat on the operating table. The radiation protection drape has a positioning line that indicates where the mobile radiation protection wall should be positioned. It is important that the radiation protection drape is always positioned outside the beam path. By combining the radiation protection drape with a mobile radiation protection wall, the physician's radiation exposure can be virtually eliminated.

The video on the left shows the optimal positioning of the radiation protection drape.
